Paris Haute Couture Week | January 2024
Gaurav Gupta's Spring/Summer 2024 haute couture collection, Aarohanam, presented at Paris Haute Couture Week in January 2024, drew inspiration from the Sanskrit concept of ascension, symbolizing a journey from darkness to light. The collection featured sculptural silhouettes, including cropped jackets, exaggerated capes, and fluid trench coats, adorned with intricate embellishments such as mukaish, badla, zardozi, and multidimensional crystals, reflecting Gupta's signature sculpting art. The color palette transitioned from absolute black to agni orange, reflective sand, and ether blue, mirroring the stages of spiritual transformation. This presentation marked Gupta's third appearance at Paris Haute Couture Week, reinforcing his position as a visionary in contemporary couture
